Style That Gives Back
I recently saw the first image below on Shelter (http://shelterinteriordesign.blogspot.com/) and the handmade bracelet reminded me of the lovely and super affordable bracelets Ember (http://emberarts.com/store/) sells. They also carry earrings, necklaces and hip handbags. Ember partners with woman in Uganda to create recycled paper jewelry. This partnership helps women rebuild their lives after the devastating effects of war. Currently they are donating 50% of their profits to The Adventure Project. To learn more visit their site. I love to know my purchases actually do good...do you? Below are just a few chic examples of what they sell...

Pretty and Healthy Wallpaper
I know the blog world has been abuzz lately about Spoonflower branching out into wallpaper. It's fabulous news because of Spoonflower's vast selection of gorgeous ready made or DIY prints, but maybe not everyone knows it's eco-friendly too. How you ask? Well it's printed on PVC-free paper, so...
1. It won't off-gas toxic fumes into your home.
2. You can be rest assured that it wasn't made in a factory spewing out noxious air into the environment.
3. It can be recycled, unlike PVC.
4. Get it here: http://www.spoonflower.com/wallpaper_welcome#

The Peacock...
...chair I couldn't sell. This past Saturday was a gorgeous day to have a yard sale and meet new friends. That day my plan was to sell said emerald green wicker peacock chair, but alas I couldn't. Instead I put a sold sign on it and sat down with Max asleep on my shoulder. I just can't help myself when it comes to unique chairs...yes I seriously have a chair fetish. A few months ago my husband and I counted how many chairs I had (sold a few on Sat.) and I am embarrassed to say I had 31 in my tiny Cape Cod. Below are a few snapshots of me, my little man, and my queen on the chair I sold back to myself...what a dork. Hope you all had a charming weekend too. As a bonus I'm including a few images of peacock chairs looking all regal and whatnot...absolutely FREE ;). Enjoy! (Sorry for the random image placement below...I'm blogging from my iPad and don't seem to have a choice.)
